An injection-molded plastic kit of the Polish twin-engined bomber PZL.37 Los in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer IBG Models. The boxing is focused on the early A version, which a modeler recognizes from the later machines at first sight by its single vertical tail surface. The set contains plastic parts and decals; the particular extent of the accessories differs between the individual releases, so follow the data on the box.
The PZL.37 Los was a Polish twin-engined medium bomber of the second half of the 1930s and a very modern aircraft for its time. It had an aerodynamically clean all-metal fuselage, a retractable landing gear and a favorable ratio between its own weight and the weight of the bomb load. The earliest production machines of the A version received a single vertical tail surface and only a few examples were built out of the total production, which came to around a hundred aircraft. The later machines already had twin tail surfaces. The Los aircraft joined the fighting in September 1939 and some of the surviving machines then flew out of Polish territory.
With a twin-engined aircraft in a small scale it pays to try the joints of the fuselage, the wing and the engine nacelles dry beforehand. Finish and paint the cockpit before you close the fuselage, and glue the transparent parts with canopy glue so that they do not fog. Apply a filler primer before painting. Spray the upper camouflage shades with an airbrush, use a gloss varnish under the decals and once it has dried unify the surface with a matte varnish. Bring out the fine panel lines with a thin wash and keep the weathering discreet in a small scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
