Eduard R-13M missiles 1:72 is a resin set of R-13M air-to-air guided missiles for models of MiG-21 fighters.

This is NOT a model of an airplane but a resin detail accessory from the Eduard brand in 1:72 scale. The set contains R-13M short-range infrared-guided air-to-air missiles, the typical armament of MiG-21 fighters. The castings bring fine detail to the body of the missile, the control surfaces and the mounting racks, and they are intended to supplement a base kit.
The R-13M was a Soviet short-range infrared-guided air-to-air missile, developed as a more capable variant of the older R-3S. It was carried above all by supersonic MiG-21 fighters, which formed the backbone of many air forces from the 1960s on. The missile served for close-in combat against maneuvering targets.
Wash the resin parts clean of mold release agent first, carefully cut off the casting blocks and do the sanding with your airways protected. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the missiles light gray or white as a rule, with colored bands according to the particular machine; pick out the details with a delicate wash.
It is a resin accessory set, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
