An add-on set of a rocket launcher with rockets for a model of the Bachem Natter in 1:72 scale, listed for the kit from Brengun. On this machine the armament is among the most striking things visible on a model, and add-on parts can render it more finely than injected plastic can manage.
The parts are not polystyrene, so ordinary modeling cement does not apply to them; they are bonded with super glue. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest carefully, so that you do not touch the shape of the rocket itself. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, as otherwise paint holds badly. The rockets are small, so it pays to paint them before fitting them to the model. Where exactly the parts belong and in what order they go together is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The Bachem Natter was a German rocket-powered fighter of the end of the Second World War, designed as a rapid defense against formations of bombers. It took off vertically from a launch tower and its armament consisted of unguided rockets housed in the nose. The machine was reckoned on for a single use: after the attack the front section was to separate and the pilot and the engine were to descend by parachute. The type never reached combat use.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
