A decal sheet in 1:72 scale devoted to the markings of S.E.5a biplanes in Polish service. Intended for finishing the surface of a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The S.E.5a is a British single-seat fighter biplane from the end of the First World War. It had a solid, fairly robust nose and was among the mainstays of British fighter aviation in the closing stages of the war. After 1918 machines of this type spread to other countries as well, and this sheet is devoted precisely to their form in Polish service.
It is a decal sheet in 1:72 scale for completing a plastic kit. It carries the national insignia and the other markings needed to finish the surface of a model. The exact number of schemes offered and the list of particular machines are in the instructions enclosed with the sheet.
The decals are applied onto smooth gloss varnish, so no air is left under them and no matte edge forms. Cut the piece out as closely as possible, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and, once it has released from the backing, slide it onto the model. Press the remaining water out with a soft cloth; on a busy surface a softener helps. Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive version: a soaked self-adhesive film is ruined. Once dry, go over the area with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
It will suit modelers who build First World War aircraft in 1:72 scale and want to finish a model in Polish form. Before buying, check that the sheet fits your particular kit.
The package holds a decal sheet. The kit, the paints, the varnishes and the softener are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
