An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian multirole fighter Sukhoi Su-30MKK (NATO code name Flanker-G) in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. It is a two-seat twin-engine fighter derived from the Su-27 family, with a tandem cockpit and long range. The kit has finely engraved panel lines, clear parts for the cockpit glazing and a selection of external stores. Check the exact contents of the package and the number of marking schemes against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Su-30MKK is a heavy multirole fighter developed from the Su-27 for long-range strikes as well as for all-weather air combat. It is marked out by its pair of engines, large lifting surfaces and extensive fuel capacity, which give it a long range and a load comparable to the most capable machines in its class. The two-man crew sits in tandem; the rear member works the weapon and reconnaissance systems. The type carries a wide range of air-to-air and air-to-ground guided weapons.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with a thin model cement for plastic. Paint the tandem cockpit and pick it out before closing the fuselage, and mask the clear glazing while spraying. Pay attention to the fit of the air intakes to both engines and to the seating of the lifting surfaces. Apply a primer and lay the colors on with an airbrush, apply the decals over a gloss varnish and pick out the panel lines with a wash. Finish the external stores and the tanks at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
