A set of miniature S-shaped hooks for models of military vehicles in 1:72 scale. It is an accessory, not a kit: the parts are fitted onto a model built from plastic. On real vehicles such hooks serve for hanging tow cables, chains and equipment on the hull.
It is precisely in a small scale that the difference between a molded and a separately cast detail shows most. A shape molded together with the hull tends to be only a suggested bump with no opening, while a separate part has the right outline and can be seen through. The model then does not look simplified even in a close-up photograph, which is a common criterion with 1:72 dioramas.
Count on working under a magnifier or with good lighting and with tweezers with fine jaws. Cut the molded shape off the hull and sand the surface over, separate the part from the casting block with a sharp scalpel and clean it up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue applied with the tip of a toothpick or a piece of wire; a drop from the tube is already too much at this scale. Work over a light-colored surface, so that a small part is not lost. A dark base and a fine drybrush will do for painting, and a wash will then settle the detail into the overall weathering.
The set is an accessory for a model, not a kit on its own. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
