SAAB 37 Viggen spray mask, single-seat versions, 1:72 from Art Scale - a single-sided self-adhesive mask for clean spraying of the canopy glazing and the wheels on the Special Hobby model of the Swedish supersonic aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks for 1:72 models of the Swedish SAAB 37 Viggen fighter in single-seat form from Special Hobby. These are single-sided masks cut from quality masking film (the kabuki type) that cover the outer surfaces of the canopy glazing as well as the landing gear wheels. This is not an airplane model but an accessory that makes spraying the canopy frames and the tires easier. The parts are numbered so that they can be applied quickly and in the right place.
The SAAB 37 Viggen was a Swedish supersonic combat aircraft of the late 1960s and the 1970s with a distinctive canard configuration and a massive tall fin. It was powered by a strong afterburning turbojet and was built in several versions for fighter, attack and reconnaissance duties. The single-seat versions made up the main combat part of the Swedish Air Force fleet.
Degrease the glazing first and apply the masks exactly along the engraved frames. Spray in thin coats so that the paint does not creep under the edge of the mask. Ideally lay down the interior shade or a primer first and the final camouflage afterwards. Remove the masks while the paint is still only touch-dry, in one clean pull with tweezers. The wheel masks give a sharp edge between the hub and the tire.
This is a masking accessory, not a model. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
