Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the French two-seat Salmson 2A2 reconnaissance biplane in 1:72 scale. According to the name the release is aimed at machines operated in Polish service, which is at the same time what sets it apart from the other boxings of the same type. The model is meant to be glued and painted.
The Salmson 2A2 was a two-seat reconnaissance and observation aircraft of French production, used in the closing stages of the First World War. It was powered by a water-cooled Salmson radial engine, which gave the type its name. It was a proven and numerously built machine, which after 1918 served in a whole range of countries - the newly formed armies of central and eastern Europe used it, where it carried out reconnaissance, liaison and training duties into the 1920s.
On a biplane the order of steps is crucial. Finish and paint the fuselage and the lower wing first, and only then glue the struts and the upper wing - ideally on a simple jig of blocks or with a cardboard template, so that both the angle and the spacing come out right. Use a slow-setting glue, which leaves time for lining things up. Add the bracing of stretched thread or drawn sprue only after clear-coating. Period camouflage and fabric covering will not stand high gloss, so bring the surface into line at the end with a matte overcoat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
