Eduard 1:72 SB-2 are die-cut painting masks for cleanly masking the glazed cockpit and the other clear parts of a model of the Soviet Tupolev fast bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
Precisely die-cut painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:72 scale. It is not a model but a modeling accessory: self-adhesive masks of kabuki tape that, during painting, cover the glazing of the cockpit and nose and any other areas that are to stay clear. They ensure sharp, straight glazing frames without laborious masking by hand.
The Tupolev SB was a Soviet twin-engine fast bomber of the 1930s. In its day it was among the modern machines with good speed, and it was used in the Spanish Civil War and in the early phases of the Second World War. The glazed nose and the navigator's station make masking the glazing one of the more demanding parts of the build.
The masks are die-cut to the shape of a particular kit in this scale. Lift a part off the sheet, lay it on the glazing and press the edges down with a pointed wooden stick along the engraved lines. Spray the color of the frames and peel the mask off. Kabuki tape holds reliably and leaves no adhesive behind.
This is a set of masks, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
