Eduard pre-cut self-adhesive SB2C-4 Helldiver masks in 1:72 scale. A masking set for clean spraying of the glazed cockpit and the wheel rims; it is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive pre-cut painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:72 scale. It is not a model, but an accessory for the build: the masks let you spray the frames of the long glazed cockpit cleanly and mask the wheel rims. The film follows the shape of the frames exactly, so you avoid laborious cutting and uneven edges.
The Curtiss SB2C Helldiver was an American carrier-based dive bomber of the Second World War, which replaced the older Dauntless in US Navy service. The two-seat machine, with a pilot and a rear gunner, was powered by a strong radial engine and carried its bombs in an internal bay. Despite difficult handling at first, by the end of the war it had become the main carrier dive bomber. Its long glazed cockpit with a great many frames is a rewarding target for accurate masking.
Lift the mask off the backing, seat it on the glazing and press it down. Spray the frames with an airbrush, first in the interior shade and then in the exterior color, and peel them off once they are dry. Cover the areas between the frames with masking fluid or tape. Degrease the glazing before applying, for better adhesion.
This is not a model of the aircraft, but a set of masks. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
