This resin set from Eduard brings eight faithfully cast German SC 50 aircraft bombs in 1:72 scale. It is not a standalone airplane model but an aftermarket accessory with which you arm the pylons of your aircraft models. Decals with period bomb stenciling are included in the package as well.
The SC 50 (Sprengbombe Cylindrisch) was the standard German high-explosive bomb of roughly 50 kg, used by the Luftwaffe throughout the Second World War. It was carried by a range of aircraft from fighter-bombers to the Ju 87 dive bomber. Thanks to their low weight the bombs were hung in numbers, so a set of eight matches real service use.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, separate them carefully from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. Try the position of the bombs and the racks dry before gluing them to the model. Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss varnish.
The set is an accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
