This injection-molded plastic kit from IBG Models captures the British Scammell Pioneer heavy recovery and towing vehicle in the SV/2S version in 1:72 scale. The model offers a finely detailed surface, a well worked-out chassis and a body with a crane. Thanks to the small scale it is ideal even for a smaller collection or a diorama.
The Scammell Pioneer was a British heavy off-road tractor of the Second World War, built in several forms - as an artillery tractor, a tank transporter and a recovery vehicle. The SV/2S version served as a Heavy Breakdown Tractor with a slewing crane and was essential for towing and repairing damaged equipment in the field. The vehicle stood out for its mobility in heavy terrain.
First finish and paint the chassis and the running gear. Use thin cement for plastic and dry-fit the small parts. We recommend a primer, the main coat with an airbrush and then washes and pigments for mud and dust effects, which come into their own on recovery vehicles.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
