A plastic kit of the German Sd.Kfz.135 Marder I tank destroyer in 1:72 scale from RPM.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Marder I tank destroyer (Sd.Kfz.135) in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer RPM. It is supplied as an unassembled set of parts with a decal sheet. The real subject is an improvised German self-propelled anti-tank weapon built on a captured French chassis.
The Marder I came about by mounting a 7.5 cm PaK 40 anti-tank gun on the chassis of a captured French Lorraine artillery tractor. The tall open superstructure protected the crew only from the front and the sides. The German army deployed the vehicles above all in France and on the western front after 1942, where they served as a mobile anti-tank defense. It was a typical makeshift solution for giving the infantry a mobile, powerful gun.
Assemble and clean up the chassis and the running gear before closing up the hull. The open fighting compartment is ideal for detailing the interior and the ammunition stowage. Glue with liquid cement for plastic; after spraying, bring out the details with a wash and add dust and mud pigments to the tracks and the underside.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
