Accessories for the Sd.Kfz. 7 half-track tractor in 1:72 scale from Black Dog fill the cargo bed and the benches with cast gear.

Resin castings complete a model of the German artillery tractor with the materiel that the vehicle normally carried. An empty cargo bed is the most conspicuous shortcoming on this type of vehicle, and the set fills it.
A half-track vehicle of this class towed heavy artillery weapons and at the same time carried their crews and part of the ammunition, so a battery moved as a whole. The combination of wheeled steering at the front and tracks at the rear gave decent mobility in mud and in snow, which was paid for in demanding track maintenance. The vehicle appeared on every front, and versions with an enclosed body or with a light anti-aircraft weapon on the bed have also survived.
Cyanoacrylate glue sets quickly on resin, which need not be an advantage on larger parts, so check the position of every piece dry first. Use the setting accelerator only sparingly and preferably in two doses, as too much leaves a white film on the surface. Wooden boxes gain depth when thinned brown paint is flowed into the engraved joints. Finally, tie the whole thing together with a fine breath of a dust shade on the lower surfaces and at the edges of the tracks.
