Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the light reconnaissance armored car Sd.Kfz.222 in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer First to Fight. The model captures the four-wheeled armored car with an open turret carrying a 20 mm automatic cannon. The parts are designed as snap-fit and a decal sheet and pictorial instructions tend to be included.
The Sd.Kfz.222 was the standard light reconnaissance car of the German army at the end of the 1930s and the beginning of the 1940s. It was powered by a rear engine unit, had all-wheel drive and an open rotating turret with a 20 mm automatic cannon and a coaxial machine gun. It was deployed from the campaign of 1939 through France to the early stages of the fighting on the Eastern Front, where it served mainly for reconnaissance and screening.
Clean the flash off the parts, and before closing the hull we recommend painting the inside of the turret and the fighting compartment. Even on a snap-fit kit it pays to secure the joints with cement for plastic. For early deployments an overall gray shade (Panzergrau) fits, while later machines carry a yellow base color with camouflage patches. Washes and dust pigments complete the weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
