Dead Design 1:72 Sea Venom FAW.21 is a masking set for the glazing of the cabin. The pre-cut templates cover the glazing and leave the paint only the frame.

A Dead Design masking set for models of the British carrier-borne aircraft de Havilland Sea Venom FAW.21 in 1:72 scale. It is stuck directly onto the clear part and determines where the edge of the frame of the cabin will run.
The Sea Venom had its crew seated side by side, so its canopy is wide and low, with long frames around the perimeter and with marked front glazing. A shape like that is masked badly with tape, because a strip breaks on a long curve and the resulting edge tends to be wavy. A pre-cut mask fits as a whole and keeps the width of the frame the same along its whole length.
The clear part is best prepared before sticking them on: wash it, degrease it and let it dry. Settle the mask dry, check its position against the engraving on the part and only then press the edges down. The frame is usually sprayed first in the shade of the interior, then the work goes on with the base and the top color, so the frame looks right even when seen through the glazing. Take the masks off only once it has dried, slowly and at a sharp angle. When the frame comes away somewhere while the mask is being removed, it is filled in with a brush with a small tip, and with thin coats the retouch tends to be imperceptible.
