Responsibility details are not available.
This Eduard set in 1:72 scale contains photo-etched seat belts in steel (STEEL) for the cockpits of plastic models of French aircraft of the Second World War. It is neither a kit nor a standalone model but a color-printed detail accessory that replaces missing or simplified belts on the seat and clearly lifts the realism of the cockpit. The steel version holds its shape after bending better than brass.
French aircraft of the Second World War period used seat harnesses of the type of the day. Faithfully shaped belts are among the most noticeable details of a cockpit, they catch the eye right after the seat and the instrument panel, and on models with a clearly visible cockpit they markedly improve the overall impression of the finished build.
Separate the individual belts from the fret with a sharp scalpel on a hard mat. The steel material holds its shape well, so shape the belts into a realistic drape over the edge of the seat. Color-printed belts are not normally varnished; it is enough to blend them sensitively with their surroundings and perhaps pick out the buckle. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate), as cement for plastic does not hold on metal. Work with tweezers and good lighting.
The package contains the photo-etched belts only. The model, the paints, the glue and the decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
