This product is a set of pre-colored photo-etched seat belts from Eduard in 1:72 scale, made of steel (STEEL). It is not a model or a kit but a universal accessory made to be fitted into the cockpits of Luftwaffe fighter aircraft of the Second World War, types such as the Bf 109, the Fw 190 or the Me 262. The steel version is more pliable than brass, so the belts are easier to shape into a realistic drape.
The color belts replace flat or missing harness straps in the cockpit and raise the realism of the interior considerably. They are pre-colored, so the laborious masking and painting of the individual straps and buckles falls away. The set is made for Luftwaffe fighter models in 1:72 scale and, thanks to its universal design, you will use it across several kits.
Separate the belts with a sharp knife, shape them with tweezers into a natural drape and fix them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). With the self-adhesive version, light pressure is enough, but securing the critical spots with a drop of super glue is still recommended. Handle the steel parts carefully so that they do not warp.
The set is only an accessory. The kit, the seats and paints are not included in the package.
