An Eduard 1:72 photo-etched set of landing flaps for the Avro Shackleton AEW.2 adds the fine structure of the flaps in photo-etched sheet.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set of the Eduard brand in 1:72 scale focused on the landing flaps of the British Avro Shackleton AEW.2 aircraft. It is not a kit but an accessory of thin brass sheet, which makes it possible to show the flaps with their faithful inner structure, usually in the lowered position, the way plastic cannot capture it in this scale.
The Avro Shackleton was a British multi-engine aircraft derived from the Lincoln bomber. The AEW.2 version served with the Royal Air Force as an airborne early warning machine and flew in that role until the 1990s.
Nip the parts carefully out of the fret, shape the precise bends on a bender and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with epoxy. Degrease the sheet before painting and treat it with a primer for metal; a wash helps to bring out the intricate inner structures of the flaps.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a model. The kit itself and paints are not included in the package.
