Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary British Supermarine Spitfire fighter in the LF Mk.Vb version with clipped wings, in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Kovozavody Prostejov. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted and offers a finely engraved surface, a well-worked-out pilot's compartment and the parts for this particular variant.
The Spitfire Mk.V was one of the most widely produced versions of the type, powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 engine. The LF designation (Low-altitude Fighter) refers to optimization for combat at low altitude; the clipped wingtips improved the roll rate and agility near the ground at the cost of a slightly poorer rate of climb higher up. This configuration proved itself above all in operations over the English Channel and in the Mediterranean.
Cut the parts off with a sharp knife and glue the joints with liquid cement for plastic. Before painting, spraying the surface with a base coat (primer) and shading with an airbrush are recommended. Matte shades suit British schemes; a gloss clear coat under the decals will make them settle without silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
