A resin detail accessory from Quickboost, made by Aires, meant to refine a plastic kit of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX fighter in 1:72 scale. The set replaces the plastic exhausts with finely cast stubs of round section with open mouths.
The Spitfire Mk. IX was one of the most widespread versions of this fighter, powered by the Merlin V12 engine. Various types of exhaust stubs were used during production, among them the round section and the flat fishtail type; this set matches the round form.
Wash the parts to remove mold release, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them on with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The mouths can be underlined with a dark shade and light exhaust staining.
It is an accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The kit itself is not included in the package.
