Eduard 1:72 Spitfire Mk.I/II/V Bakelite Seat with Integral Belts is a resin 3D-printed seat with belts printed in place, for sharpening the cockpit of Spitfire models.
Responsibility details are not available.
This aftermarket set brings an accurate replica of the period bakelite (molded) pilot's seat of the Spitfire with the harness printed integrally. The part is made by direct 3D printing in resin and is intended for models of the early and middle versions of the Spitfire (Mk.I, Mk.II, Mk.V) in 1:72 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but a detail accessory for the cockpit.
With the belts printed into the seat, there is no need to glue separate harness straps on, and it still looks very convincing. 3D printing captures the texture of the bakelite as well as the small detail of the fittings. The part is in the color of the resin and is meant to be painted.
Separate the seat from the print supports with a sharp knife, sand the contact faces and wash the surface with lukewarm water and dish soap because of print resin residue. Glue it with cyanoacrylate. Pick the belts out in khaki shades with a fine wash, and the shell itself can be darkened according to the type of bakelite used.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
