This resin set from the Czech manufacturer Black Dog serves to refine the engine section of a model of the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird strategic reconnaissance aircraft in 1:72 scale. It replaces simplified plastic parts with truer castings. It is not a model of the whole aircraft but a detail set for your base model.
The SR-71 Blackbird was an American two-seat strategic reconnaissance aircraft able to fly at more than three times the speed of sound at great altitude. It was powered by two powerful turbojets with afterburners, which made it one of the fastest piloted aircraft in history.
Wash the resin parts free of release agent, cut the casting blocks off and wet-sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). You can bring out the metal surfaces of the engine with metallic shades and a fine difference in the sheen of the individual panels.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
