About product

Eduard 1:72 SR-71A Blackbird (photo-etched parts)

This set from the Czech maker Eduard contains fine photo-etched parts meant to improve a plastic model of the supersonic SR-71A Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that replaces coarser plastic elements with thin metal detail with sharp edges.

What the set solves

  • It adds cockpit detail, instrument panels, seats and small fittings.
  • It supplements exterior plates, grilles and panels to the extent of the fret.
  • Intended for models of the SR-71A Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft in 1:72 scale.
  • The parts are separated with a sharp knife, shaped with tweezers and glued with super glue.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers who want to take their Blackbird model to a higher level of detail.
  • Those interested in Cold War reconnaissance aircraft.
  • More experienced builders used to fine photo-etch.

The accessory contains neither the model nor glue. Some of the parts may need painting to match your references.
