A plastic kit of the Staghound Mk.II heavy armored car in 1:72 scale from RPM.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Staghound heavy armored car in the Mk.II version, in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer RPM. It is supplied as an unassembled set of parts with a decal sheet. The real subject is the support variant of the car, in which the turret armament was replaced by a short 3-inch howitzer intended for direct fire support.
The Staghound (factory designation T17E1) was an armored car designed in the USA, which the American army did not adopt, and it served mainly with British and Allied units. It was powered by a pair of gasoline engines, had all-wheel drive and a crew of several men in a sturdy armored hull. The Mk.II version carried a howitzer instead of an anti-tank gun, for destroying fortifications and supporting infantry; the cars saw use in Italy and in northwestern Europe.
With wheeled armored cars we recommend first assembling and cleaning up the chassis and the wheel suspension, and only then closing up the hull and the turret. Use liquid cement for plastic and sand the armor joints carefully. Once the base color has been sprayed on, the details come out when a dark wash is worked into the recesses and fine dust and mud pigments are added to the wheel arches and the underside of the car.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
