SU-122 self-propelled gun 1:72 from UM is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet self-propelled gun on the T-34 chassis.
Responsibility details are not available.
This kit from the Ukrainian maker UM captures the Soviet SU-122 self-propelled gun in 1:72 scale. It is an injection-molded plastic model with photo-etched parts added; it is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The SU-122 was one of the first Soviet self-propelled guns built on the chassis of the T-34 medium tank. In an enclosed superstructure it carried a 122 mm howitzer derived from the M-30 field howitzer. The vehicle was intended for direct fire support of the infantry and the tanks and for destroying fortifications; it was fielded from 1943. The enclosed casemate superstructure replaced the rotating turret and simplified production.
First assemble and clean up the running gear, then close the hull and the superstructure. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic and glue the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. You will bring the detail to life with a dark wash and pigments for dust and mud effects on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
