Top Studio hex rivets 1.0 mm - silvery (version C)

This is a fine detail accessory from Top Studio, not a kit. The package contains a set of miniature turned metal imitations of hexagonal rivets and bolt heads 1.0 mm in diameter in a silver finish. They serve to give a model convincing, crisply shaped bolted joints of a kind that cannot be molded in plastic.

Use

  • On the engine, the chassis, the frame and the body of car and motorcycle models.
  • A fine hole is drilled in the plastic and the rivet is glued into it with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
  • The silver surface resembles steel or aluminum fasteners and can be left unpainted.
  • Working with parts this small calls for tweezers and a steady hand.

No, it is a detail accessory. It contains miniature metal imitations of hexagonal rivets with which another model is dressed.

A fine hole is drilled in the plastic and the rivet is glued into it with super glue. Given the size of the parts, tweezers are useful.

The silver finish can be left unpainted, because it resembles metal fasteners. They can of course be painted over as needed.
