Eduard Su-15 Flagon masks 1:72 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the Soviet fighter aircraft Su-15. It gives you sharp paint edges on the glazing and the wheels. This is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:72 scale is meant for a plastic model of the Soviet fighter aircraft Su-15 Flagon. It is not a kit and not a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks cut from thin yellow masking tape. The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp frames on the cockpit canopy and a clean separation of tires from rims without laboriously cutting tape by hand.
The Sukhoi Su-15, Flagon in the NATO code, was a Soviet twin-engine supersonic fighter meant for air defense. It served with the Soviet air defense forces as an interceptor that was to take off quickly and deal with anyone violating the border. It had powerful engines and simple aerodynamic shapes, and it was one of the backbone air defense fighters of its day.
Degrease the glazing before you apply the masks and let it dry. Lift the individual masks off the backing with tweezers and lay them on the canopy frames, press them into the edges and fill any gaps with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in two thin coats so that it does not creep under the edge of the mask. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package contains only the masks. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included unless stated otherwise.
