A small resin accessory of the Quickboost brand, made by Aires, intended to refine the plastic kit of the Sukhoi Su-15TM interceptor, with the NATO reporting name Flagon-F, in 1:72 scale. It replaces the plastic pitot tube with a finely cast part with a faithful shape and a slender tip.
The Su-15TM was a twin-engine interceptor intended for the defense of the airspace. The pitot tube on the nose served to measure the airspeed, and its slender shape is hard to reproduce in plastic.
Wash the mold release residue off the part, carefully cut off the casting block and glue it on with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Attach the thin tube only at the end of the build, so that it does not get damaged.
This is an accessory for a kit, not an aircraft model. The kit itself is not included in the package.
