Injection-molded plastic kit of the Sukhoi Su-17M fighter-bomber in 1:72 scale from Modelsvit. The model consists of injection-molded plastic parts, clear cockpit canopy parts and a decal sheet. The exact make-up of the contents is described in the enclosed instructions.
The Su-17 was a Soviet single-seat fighter-bomber with a variable-geometry wing, derived from the earlier Su-7. The movable outer wing panels improved take-off and landing behavior and widened the speed range. The Su-17M version was among the upgraded variants with a more powerful engine and was used in a number of countries.
Assemble the variable-geometry wing mechanism according to the instructions and decide whether to fix the wings in one position or leave them movable. Paint the cockpit and fit it before you close up the fuselage. Fit the external stores and the armament only after painting. Camouflage sprays best with an airbrush; apply the decals over a gloss clear coat and even out the surface at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
