An add-on photo-etched set for the Su-17M3 model in 1:72 scale. The manufacturer's instructions state the scope of the parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Su-17 is a Soviet fighter-bomber derived from the earlier Su-7, in which the designers replaced the fixed wing with a solution using variable geometry of the outer panels. The machine thus managed a short runway while keeping its speed at low altitude. The M3 version is among the later forms of the family and is one of the most widely built subjects for modelers who take an interest in Eastern equipment.
These are photo-etched parts. Photo-etch reaches where injection-molded plastic cannot: it can be as thin as sheet at true scale, it carries fine texture and it replaces parts that are only suggested as relief on the model. The manufacturer's instructions state which features the fret holds and where they belong.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not by tearing them out, or the edge will buckle. Make the bends over an edge or in a bending tool and help yourself with flat tweezers, because your fingers will not hold the shape. They are bonded with a small drop of super glue applied with a pin; ordinary cement for plastic will not join metal. Wash and degrease the surface before painting so that the coat does not peel off in handling. Lay the small parts out on a light surface so that you can find them if they fall.
The model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
