A relief 3D-printed and pre-colored interior decal, not an aircraft kit. The set adds color instrument panels, side panels and further details to both cockpits of the tactical bomber, and they are applied like a decal. It is shaped for the Su-24M kit in 1:72 scale from the Trumpeter company.

The real subject

The Sukhoi Su-24 (NATO reporting name Fencer) was a Soviet two-seat tactical bomber with a variable-sweep wing. The Su-24M version had improved equipment for navigation and precision strikes and carried a wide range of guided and unguided armament; the crew consisted of a pilot and a navigator sitting side by side.

How the 3D decal is used

• Cut the small parts out, dip them in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide them off the backing paper into place in the cockpit, which you coat with gloss varnish beforehand, as they hold only on that.
• The color relief print replaces plastic or photo-etched parts, so painting is unnecessary.
• In a small scale work with tweezers; on complex surfaces a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener: it attacks the printed resin and ruins the part.
