Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet ground attack aircraft in 1:72 scale from Zvezda. It captures the rugged Su-25 Frogfoot with its short landing gear, massive armored fuselage and a row of hardpoints for armament. The box holds parts in gray plastic, a clear canopy part, a well-worked cockpit and a decal sheet. The model builds as a classic kit suited to more experienced beginners and to seasoned modelers.
The Su-25 is a single-seat ground attack aircraft intended for close support of ground forces over the battlefield. It was powered by two turbojets, and the design put the emphasis on toughness: an armored cockpit, separated systems and the ability to take a hit. It carried a built-in cannon and a wide range of unguided and guided armament on a large number of hardpoints. Thanks to its low operating demands and its durability it proved itself in a number of conflicts and became one of the most widely used machines in its class.
First finish and paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays, and only then close the fuselage. Use liquid cement for plastic, primer and an airbrush; mask the clear canopy before painting and glue the external stores with a light touch. The typical field camouflage schemes come alive with gentle transitions of shade, a wash into the engraved lines and a discreet patina of service marks and exhaust staining.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
