Responsibility details are not available.
This Eduard set in 1:72 scale contains precisely pre-cut self-adhesive painting masks for a plastic model of the Russian twin-engine Sukhoi Su-27SM Flanker fighter. It is not a kit and it is not a model of the aircraft in its own right, but an aid for painting: the masks follow the framing of the cockpit canopy and the other glazing exactly, so you can spray sharp, straight frame lines without laboriously laying down masking tape. Circular masks for the wheel rims are usually included as well.
The Sukhoi Su-27, Flanker in the NATO code, is a Soviet and now Russian twin-engine heavy fighter built to win air superiority, famous for its long range and outstanding agility. The SM version is an upgrade with improved avionics, a new radar and the ability to carry precision weapons against ground targets. The Flanker is one of the iconic fighters of its era.
Lift the masks off the backing film carefully with tweezers or the tip of a scalpel and press them onto the glazing so that they follow the shape of the frames. The transparent areas stay covered and only the frame is left exposed. Spray the paint, ideally with an airbrush in thin coats, and take the masks off once it is dry. Wipe away any adhesive residue with a lightly dampened cloth.
The package contains pre-cut masks only. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
