An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Sukhoi Su-25K ground-attack aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Smer. It is a classic kit from a proven older mold, straightforward in its breakdown and suited to collectors of modern military hardware as well as to less experienced modelers.
The Su-25, Frogfoot in the NATO reporting system, is a Soviet ground-attack aircraft intended for the close support of ground forces. It stands out for its armored cockpit, its pair of jet engines and the large weapons load on its underwing hardpoints, which lets it operate low over the battlefield. The Su-25K version was the export standard delivered to allies and foreign users.
With an older mold, expect to clean up the parting lines more carefully and to fill the seams a little. Glue the parts with thin plastic cement and paint the cockpit before you close the fuselage. It is best to spray a primer and to apply the shades with an airbrush; multicolor camouflage schemes are typical. Seat and paint the extensive underwing stores and tanks separately and fit them only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
