An injection-molded plastic kit of the French Dassault Super Etendard carrier strike aircraft in 1:72 scale from the long-established maker Heller. It is a classic tooling with raised panel lines. The kit contains plastic sprues including clear parts, decals and instructions; an Exocet anti-ship missile and drop tanks are normally included, which underlines the strike role of the machine.
The Dassault Super Etendard was a single-engine carrier aircraft of French naval aviation, derived from the earlier Etendard IV. It served as a strike and anti-ship machine and its best-known weapon was precisely the Exocet anti-ship missile. The type became famous for its combat use in the Falklands conflict and for a long time formed the backbone of the strike capability of French aircraft carriers. It also flew in the colors of other navies.
With an older tooling with raised lines, careful dry-fitting and filling of the fuselage and wing seams are advisable. Fit the folding airbrakes and the underwing stores according to the configuration you have chosen. Join the plastic with thin modeling cement and use a primer before painting. For naval schemes choose the matching gray shades; lay the decals onto a gloss coat and even the surface out with a matte or semi-gloss coat according to the real aircraft.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
