An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-26C light tank with add-on (applique) armor in 1:72 scale from Mirage Hobby. It is a later configuration of the T-26 with a conical turret, onto which armor plates were additionally bolted or welded to raise its resistance. The package holds plastic parts, soft one-piece tracks and assembly instructions.
The T-26 light tank was the backbone of the Soviet armored forces in the 1930s. The version with a conical turret, also designated the T-26C, received shaped armor that was better against gunfire. In the fighting at the start of the Winter War and the Second World War it turned out that the thin armor of the T-26 was no longer enough, and some machines therefore received add-on armor plates for better protection of the crew.
Glue the add-on armor plates carefully, so that they match the outline of the turret and the hull. Assemble the running gear and the one-piece tracks separately. An airbrush suits the Soviet green; bring out the edges and the running gear with rubbing, washes and dust pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
