The plastic kit of the American T68 flamethrower tank from UM in 1:72 scale captures a postwar experimental conversion into a self-propelled flamethrower.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American experimental flamethrower tank T68 in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer UM (Unimodel). It is a short-run model of a less usual subject, with fine parts. The set is meant to be glued together and painted.
The T68 was an American experimental conversion into a self-propelled flamethrower from the beginning of the 1950s, built on the chassis of the Sherman tank. In place of the usual turret the vehicle received an observation cupola with a machine gun and a flamethrower weapon of its own in the front of the hull, with a large supply of flammable mixture. Only a few were built and the project remained at the experimental stage.
Assemble and finish painting the running gear and the tracks before closing the hull. Clean up the short-run parts carefully and dry-fit them before gluing. Glue the small parts with liquid cement for plastic. American olive drab will be brought out by preshading, a wash in the recesses and dust pigments on the lower areas.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
