Injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat trainer aircraft TA-7C Corsair II in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. It is a richly broken-up kit with engraved panel lines, a detailed cockpit and a set of waterslide decals. The model suits a display case as well as a collection of modern American carrier-based aircraft.
The A-7 Corsair II was an American subsonic attack aircraft derived from the F-8 Crusader fighter, and it was among the first combat machines fitted with a head-up display (HUD). The TA-7C version was created by converting single-seat machines into two-seat trainers with a lengthened fuselage and a tandem cockpit for instructor and pupil. It served with the US Navy for pilot training and for support duties. The Corsair II stood out for its large weapon load and its accuracy in attacks on ground targets.
Cut the parts off with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Finish and paint both cockpits before you close up the fuselage, because the tandem layout is clearly visible on the model. We recommend a primer base and an airbrush. Naval machines usually wear gray camouflage schemes; pick the panel lines out with a fine wash and finish the pylons and the landing gear from reference.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
