Kelik 1:72 – the interior of the carrier-borne TBM-3E torpedo aircraft in colored relief adds detail to the cockpit and the crew space. The aircraft itself is built from a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Kelik brand supplies color-printed raised elements for the interior of this single-engine carrier-borne machine. They are laid onto parts that are already finished and painted, where they replace the small painting of panels and harnesses. The aircraft itself is assembled from plastic parts; this item covers only what can be seen inside.
The Avenger was the largest carrier-borne torpedo bomber of the Second World War. The designation TBM belongs to the machines built by the automotive division entrusted with aircraft production, while the original design carried a different abbreviation. The TBM-3E subtype belonged to the late batches and was lightened, with modified equipment for finding targets over the sea. Besides torpedoes and bombs, the machines dropped rockets, and after the war they served for many more years in second-line roles with a number of states.
Finish the interior to a matte, because on a glossy surface the elements settle less well and the edges show. It pays to lift them off one at a time, hold them with a damp brush and settle them with a decal softener. The space is intricate, so good light and a magnifier help.
The elements are applied to a finished interior. The paints, the decal softener and the plastic model are not included in the price, unless stated otherwise.
