Tiny Tim rocket 1:72 is a resin accessory from Brengun — the American heavy unguided aerial rocket of the end of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
The accessory in 1:72 scale captures the American unguided aerial rocket Tiny Tim. It is not a model of an aircraft but armament in its own right, to be hung under one. The number of pieces in the package is stated on the box, so check it against that.
Tiny Tim was the heaviest American unguided aerial rocket of its period. It arose toward the end of the Second World War as a weapon against tough targets that lighter rockets could not deal with. Because of its large diameter and weight it was carried only on machines with sufficient load capacity and was launched in a way that took the rocket safely clear of the outline of the aircraft. In modeling scale it is conspicuous for its very size — beside ordinary aerial rockets it looks massive.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, so that remains of mold release agent do not spoil the adhesion of the primer. Cut the casting block off with a saw and true the mating surface on abrasive paper laid on glass — the rocket has to sit straight, otherwise the stores will look crooked. Glue resin with super glue and protect your breathing while sanding. The body is usually sprayed matte, and contrasting bands and the head are done with masking tape, not freehand with a brush.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
