Masking templates for the glazing of the cabin for a model of the combat aircraft Panavia Tornado in the GR version in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set of masking templates is intended for the glazing of the cabin of a model of the Panavia Tornado in the GR version in 1:72 scale. The Tornado is a two-seat machine with the crew in tandem, so the canopy of the cabin is long and has more frames than on a single-seat aircraft. In 1:72 the frames are so narrow, moreover, that cutting tape by hand tends to be a lottery: one hesitation with the blade and the edge is crooked. Shapes prepared in advance shorten this step to sticking on and pressing down.
First wash and degrease the glazing. Lift the elements with tweezers, settle them in place and press the edges down, so that paint does not run under them. They are applied before spraying, not onto a finished finish. Apply the paint in thin coats; a thick application runs under. Take the mask off once the paint is dry to the touch and pull it along the surface at a sharp angle.
The Tornado is a combat aircraft that came out of a joint program of Great Britain, Germany and Italy. Its identifying mark is the variable-sweep wing: for takeoff, landing and slow flight it opens out, and for fast flight near the ground it is drawn in toward the fuselage. In the Royal Air Force the letters GR are carried by the machines intended for attacks on ground targets and for reconnaissance.
A kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
