About product

Tow cable for the Pz.Kpfw.IV in 1:72 scale (Eureka XXL)

This is not a vehicle kit but a detailing accessory. The set contains very fine copper wire rope and tiny resin end eyes for assembling a realistic tow cable for a model of the Pz.Kpfw.IV tank in the small 1:72 scale.

The real subject

The Pz.Kpfw.IV was a German medium tank of the Second World War and the backbone of the Wehrmacht's tank units. The real vehicles carried steel tow cables with cast eyes on the hull.

Fitting and painting

In 1:72 scale, work with tweezers, a sharp knife and good lighting. Cut the wire rope, insert it into the resin eyes and secure it with cyanoacrylate; wash the resin beforehand. Tone the cable with a dark steel color.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers building the Pz.Kpfw.IV in 1:72 scale
  • Those interested in fine detail in a small scale
  • Builders of dioramas and display cases with vehicles

This is an accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.

The parts are fine, so tweezers and cyanoacrylate are recommended; the result, however, is markedly more realistic than a plastic cable.
