A set of replacement wheels for a model of the Tupolev Tu-160 in 1:72 scale. It replaces the wheels from the kit with parts that have sharper tread and hub detail.

On a model the wheels are among the parts most in view, and at the same time the ones the base kit treats most sparingly. They tend to be made of two halves, so the seam shows across the whole tire, and the fine tread pattern and the shape of the hub are lost in production. Replacement wheels from an accessory set are one piece, the seam does not have to be sanded away and the surface detail stays sharp. On a large aircraft, where the landing gear is big and clearly visible, the change shows at once.
The Tu-160 is a heavy supersonic bomber with a variable-sweep wing and four engines. It is among the largest combat aircraft of all, and its landing gear matches that; even in 1:72 scale it is a conspicuous part of the model.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that the detail is not lost. The parts are not polystyrene, so cement for plastic models has no effect on them; use super glue. Wash and degrease the wheels before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold. The tread and the sidewall of the tire come out best if you go lightly over the raised areas with a lighter shade after painting. The manufacturer gives the exact procedure and which kit the set is intended for in the instructions.
The kit of the aircraft, paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
