A die-cut self-adhesive masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is neither a kit nor a model but an accessory for modelers in 1:72 scale that makes masking the cockpit glazing and the wheels more accurate and quicker when spraying paint. The precisely shaped masks are in fine Japanese kabuki tape.
The masks are stuck onto the canopy frames and onto the wheel rims, so that after spraying the glass stays clear and the tires stay free of paint. Kabuki tape adapts to curved shapes, holds tightly and leaves no adhesive when peeled off. The result is crisp, straight lines on the canopy frames without the laborious cutting of tape by hand.
The Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib was a British single-seat fighter and ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War, powered by the powerful Napier Sabre engine with its cylinders arranged in an H. It was originally created as a fighter but made its name above all as a ground-attack machine striking at ground targets with rockets and bombs. It was notable for its massive nose and for its heavy gun armament and external stores.
The set contains only the cut-out masking parts. The model, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
