This is not a ship kit but a set of photo-etched upgrades from Eduard for a plastic model of the German battleship Tirpitz in 1:350 scale. The box brings several separately sold photo-etched sets together into a single whole. The etched sheets bring a fineness that injection-molded plastic cannot capture.
Tirpitz was the second battleship of the Bismarck class. She spent most of her service in the Norwegian fjords, where she tied down Allied naval forces and became the target of repeated attacks, until British bombers sank her with Tallboy bombs in 1944.
Bend the railings, ladders and other fine parts over a metal edge and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Work from the large areas toward the details. For the decks and the superstructure, tweezers and a steady hand are what count. Check the fit dry before gluing.
This is an add-on set, not the ship model itself. The base plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
