An accessory, not a model of a vehicle. The set is etched from thin metal sheet and is intended for detailing a model of the Ural-375 off-road truck in the version with a fuel tanker. Photo-etched parts are used everywhere the real material is thin sheet: steps, brackets, clips, frames, platforms and the service elements of the body. The difference compared with the part from the box is apparent above all when viewed from the side and from above.
The Ural-375 was a Soviet off-road truck with drive to all three axles, put into production in the 1960s. Thanks to its load capacity and cross-country ability it served as a universal chassis for a wide range of bodies, among others for fuel tankers. The tanker variants were among the common equipment of rear-area units and are a rewarding subject for dioramas with support hardware, where neither the crew nor the hose equipment is missing.
Separate the parts with a scalpel on a hard base and level the burr with a small file. Make the folds along the etched groove, ideally in a bending tool. It is glued with cyanoacrylate applied on the tip of a pin, so that the glue does not flow over onto a visible surface. Before painting, degrease the metal and apply metal primer. With a tanker it pays to work with shades: supplement the base color with a light dusty touch at the bottom of the body and a fine accenting of the welds and frames.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the basic kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
