An injection-molded plastic kit of the American 2.5 ton class truck with 6x6 drive in 1:72 scale from Academy. The set holds parts in hard plastic, clear parts for the glazing and a decal sheet with several marking options. Besides the vehicle itself, a set of period accessories (fuel containers, drums and other equipment) tends to be included.
The medium truck of 2.5 ton capacity with all-wheel drive was among the most widespread Allied vehicles of the Second World War. It served to carry men and materiel, as a tractor and as a chassis for a whole range of purpose-built bodies, and it became a symbol of the logistical superiority of the Allied armies on every battlefield.
We recommend assembling and cleaning up the chassis and the running gear before you close the cab and the cargo bed. Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic and apply a primer before painting. The olive drab finish will come out with a touch of dust and mud effects from washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
