An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M46 Patton medium tank in 1:72 scale from the Trumpeter brand. The set contains parts in gray plastic, continuous vinyl tracks and a decal sheet. The model captures the rugged hull, the turret and the long gun of the early postwar American tank.
The M46 Patton was an American medium tank of the early Cold War that came about by improving the M26 Pershing tank. It received a new engine and transmission, which markedly improved its mobility, and it carried a gun of 90 mm caliber. It was standardized in 1948 and named after General Patton; in combat it found use above all in the Korean War. It became the basis for the whole later family of Patton tanks.
Assemble and paint the running gear before closing the hull. Join the vinyl tracks with super glue. We recommend a primer, the base shade with an airbrush and a patina of washes into the engraved lines and the recesses, with pigments and dust effects on the running gear. Straighten the long barrel, clean up the mold seam and bring out the edges of the stowage with a gentle dry rub.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
