An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Korean manufacturer Academy. It captures the American McDonnell F2H-3 Banshee carrier fighter in the markings of the US Navy squadron VF-41 Black Aces. The model is built as a conventional plastic kit and offers engraved surface detail.
The McDonnell F2H Banshee was a single-seat carrier-based jet fighter of the US Navy and the US Marine Corps. It entered service at the end of the 1940s and was one of the main American fighters of the Korean War. The F2H-3 version was a lengthened all-weather variant with radar and a longer fuselage. Squadron VF-41 Black Aces is one of the traditional units of US naval aviation, with distinctive black and white markings.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the seams. Apply a primer before painting and spray the shades with an airbrush. On carrier aircraft, pay attention to the correct color scheme and to a gloss clear coat under the decals for better adhesion. Finish the cockpit and the landing gear before closing the fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
